Bring your bat to our store in Melbourne, or call us to make an appointment online. You can use your current bat as a template, or simply give us your preferred specs.
Choose Your Willow Grade
Select from three grades of premium English willow. Performance Grade for maximum power and value, Players Grade for professional-quality feel and durability, or Reserve Edition for the finest hand-selected willow available.
Hand-Pick Your Willow Cleft
We send you photos of available willow clefts in your chosen grade. You personally select the exact piece of willow that will become your bat. No guessing, no surprises.
We Shape Your Bat and Keep You Updated
Our craftsmen shape your bat to your exact specifications. We send you photos throughout the shaping process so you can see your bat coming to life at every stage.
Machine Knock-In
Every SGM custom bat is machine knocked in as part of the build. This compresses and hardens the bat face properly, saving you hours of preparation and getting your bat match-ready from day one.
Quality and Ping Check
Before your bat leaves our hands, it goes through a full quality inspection and ping test. We send you a video of the ping test so you can hear and see exactly how your bat performs before it is delivered.
Your Bat is Ready in 3 Weeks
Your completed custom bat is presented and ready for collection or delivery within 3 weeks from the date you selected your willow. Pick up in store or ship Australia-wide.

What You Can Customise
Every Detail, Your Way
Handle Type
Oval or round handle. We can also replicate the exact handle from your current bat for a familiar feel.
Bat Shape and Profile
Low sweet spot, mid sweet spot, or high sweet spot. Thick or thin edges. Traditional or modern profile.
Toe Shape
Square toe, pointed toe, or round toe. Bring your current bat and we replicate it exactly.
Weight
From 2.6 lbs to 2.12 lbs. Specify your preferred weight and we press and shape to match.
Left Hand or Right Hand
All custom bats are built to your playing orientation. Simply let us know when you order.
Grip
Choose your preferred grip style and thickness. We can match your existing grip if you bring your bat in.

1. Choose your willow
Every SGM custom bat starts with English willow, graded for pickup, grain and finish.
2. Bat size
Not sure which size? Check the size guide against your height.

3. Weight
Pick a finished weight. Lighter bats favour quick hands; heavier bats favour power.
4. Toe guard
A protective fitting over the toe of the blade to guard against wear and moisture. This might add an extra 10 to 12 gms.
5. Extra grips
Add a couple of spare grips fitted alongside your bat so you're always ready to go. This might add an extra 8 to 10 gms.
6. Want deep customisation?
Choose Yes to fine-tune handle shape, handle thickness, sweet spot and toe shape. Choose No for our standard, balanced specs.
